The Good Riddance Girl deals with the practical aspects of holding an estate sale, house contents sales, housing relocation and leaving the Island sales. We organize, inventory, price, tag, set up the sale area, collect funds and even clear up after the sale.

The company was first established in 1999 by Lela Stearns who developed the initial concept and ran the business for over 10 years. In 2010, it was acquired by Elizabeth and Walter Franks who successfully grew the organisation to what it is today. In 2023, Jay O’Connor took over the reins and intends to take GRG to the next level. Plans are already in the pipeline to open The Good Riddance Girl Outlet Store in the City of Hamilton in order to close the gap on ‘after-the-sale’ items and consignments for clients.

True to our motto, the GRG literally sells ‘Anything and Everything.’ We have dealt with antiques, collectibles, Oriental and Persian carpets, crystal, china, sterling silver, silver plate, first edition books, maps, paintings, art works, limited edition prints, all types of furniture, kitchen items, dolls, even jewelry, automobiles, motor bikes, boats, and much more. Some of our favorites finds were 1900’s hand made marbles, the wedding trousseau of a bride (that fortunately didn’t sail on the Titanic as scheduled), a set of children’s “Bubble Books” circa 1940 that have 78 rpm records in them the size of a DVD of today, a stamp collection that started from 1920 thru 1997, coin collections, and beautiful old lace tablecloths.

We have a great team of experienced staff who help manage the sales and our comprehensive mailing list includes thousands of dedicated customers with many regulars who attend and support each of the sales. The staff and customers remain the backbone of the organization.
